As a Construction Estimating Virtual Assistant, you'll research project opportunities, review construction plans and specifications, and prepare accurate material and labor estimates. This detail-driven, deadline-focused role requires strong construction estimating experience, the ability to interpret plans and specifications with precision, and the organizational skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Responsibilities
1. Read construction plans, blueprints, specifications, and scopes of work.
2. Perform accurate material and labor takeoffs.
3. Contact vendors and subcontractors to request pricing.
4. Compare material, labor, equipment, and subcontractor estimates.
5. Track client estimates and follow-up activities.
6. Email clients, vendors, and subcontractors for updates.
7. Provide daily written status updates.
8. Attend the Tuesday morning weekly standup call.
9. Immediately report roadblocks, missing information, or delays.
Requirements
1. Construction estimating and takeoff experience is required.
2. Must be able to read construction plans and specifications.
3. Experience with estimating software such as PlanSwift, Bluebeam, STACK, Procore, or Buildertrend.
4. Strong Excel or Google Sheets skills.
5. Excellent organization, communication, and follow-up skills.
